Moonrakers, Devizes, Whiltshire. (our port in the storm)
By the time we left Stonehenge everyone was pretty unimpressed with the weather and fortunately for me Devizes, Whiltshire wasn't far away.  For those of you who don't know I have been doing family tree stuff for awhile now and this is why the Devizes region was special for me.  Enoch George Staunton Senior (my Dad's Grandfather) and his parents all come from this area.

A family run pub
(parents and their two sons.. Remind you of anyone?)
There is a whole story about the Moonrakers
but I can't remember it all but it definitely
had something to do with moonshine.

With the babies tucked away we enjoyed a drink in the dry.

One of the great little churches.  This one with many
cross stitched cushions.
The next day we headed towards Wales but not before checking out a few of the local churches and grave yards looking for any of my Ancestors.
