Lake District

We had such a good couple of days in the Lake District that I need a post for each.

A walk along the canal looking into every ones backyards was a great way to start the day.

Flower pot people.

One of the locals.

We planned to drive up to Apleby to see the horse fair but there were so many people & so much traffic when we got there we decided to keep going.  It was worth the drive just to see the horses in the river & along the street though.

After a beautiful ride up the Kirkstone pass we stopped at the top for lunch at yet another great little pub.

I know I have used the beautiful so many times but some times there is just no other word to describe the scenery.  So after leaving the pub we rode through more beautiful splendid country side and through some really pretty towns to another pub!
